Traditionally used as a clear top coat now they are available in colours as well and can be used as a complete strong painting system. Water repellent silicon paints are used for durability and at the same time they offer breathability to the surface and they have penetrative quality which helps in gripping the surface. All these qualities make them attractive option for conventional acrylic emulsions and also could be used to repaint bad substrates.
